careful about hose usage
Hello all,
I changed my raditor out the other day as it was starting to split on the top.
Since I have an auto trans I had to hook up the trans to the trans fluid cooler on the bottom of the new rad.
I wanted to change the rubber cooler hoses out to new ones. The guy at Autozone sold me some fuel line hose and told me it would work just fine.
Well less than a week later I pulled into my buddies shop and noticed trans fluid pouring out the bottom of the car.
Of course one of the fuel line hoses split. I had to pull the rad back out and I bought some power steering hose from the local auto parts store. Much stronger hose - it is what I should have used the first time.
Lesson learned.
