Default 96 Accord door lock issue

When I hit the power lock it will lock 3 doors but not the driver side.

However when I’m in the car driving I am able to lock the driver door so the door will lock when it’s closed.

but then if I try to lock the door with the key when I’m outside the car it will not lock so the only way to lock the car is to reach in from the back door and lock it while the door is closed...

does anyone know what might be the issue here...

Most likely an issue with the door lock actuator on the driver's door. There is a diy writeup linked below.

There is also a youtube video. Search youtube for: How to Repair a Door Lock Actuator in an Accord! - 1996 Honda Accord

Are you lifting up on the door handle? On my 97, I had to lift on the handle while pushing the lock tab down at the same time for it to lock that door. My 99 and 00 don't require this step.
