i've checked the DIY section and used that to do a quick sanity check in the parking lot here at work a few minutes ago.

Here is what I have found so far:

Runs hot while sitting in stop and go. I jumpered thermoswitch and neither fan turned on. Neither fan turns on with a/c on. When installing and uninstalling jumper wire the relays do click (the relay in the underhood fuse box and the relays next to the condenser fan). I used a volt meter to check the plug on the condenser side and I get voltage when a/c is turned on but fan does not kick on. I cant check the radiator fan for voltage in the parking lot as it is not easily accessible. The water pump and timing belt were replaced 3 months ago. I have no coolant leaks and there is no air in the system.

So based on these findings what do you guys think? Both fan motors are dead?

 

Also I checked upper and lower radiator hoses and both are equally hot.

 

A trick to help cool the engine is to turn on the heat full blast with outside air going into the cabin.

The condenser fan (driver's side) is the problem and will need to be replaced, since you have voltage going to it.

As for the radiator fan (passenger's side), do the same test to check for voltage at the plug going to it.

You can also swap the power window relay with the radiator fan relay. See if the power windows still work with the original fan relay. Those relays are in the engine bay fuse box.

 

I swapped the relays also forgot to add that to previous posts. Both relays are good.

 

Ok, you should test for voltage at the radiator fan with the a/c turned on. If you have voltage, your radiator fan is bad too.

Checked for voltage at plug when I got off of work lastnight and it was present on radiator fan side as well. Swapped them out for two at the junk yard I found this morning and bleed the system. All good now. Thanks for the help.
