My 96 Accord LX 4CL has cooling fan problems. I have jumpered the thermostat switch and both fans work sometimes. If I push on either fan that is not running it will start up and run. Grounds are good. I have swapped out the cooling fan relay with the power window relay fans are still intermittent How do you test the cooling fan module or should I be looking somewhere else?

 

Grab a volt meter. Unplug both fans. Jump the green connector at the thermostat housing. Turn key to II position. Measure the voltage across the electrical connector to each fan.

If you have 12V, then the fan motor is toast and likely needs replaced.
