Thats more than Im looking to spend right now for the ease of power steering. I am thinking of just taking the belt off like mentioned above and running it without it.

Is there an easy way to get the belt off, or should I just cut it off and worry about replacing it when I fix the rack and then just buy a new belt for it?

Also, am I going to do any damage to anything by running it without the belt? I would think not, but I just want to make sure, it's my daily driver.

Thanks

It's just a couple nuts (#24, 25) to loosen the pump; then loosen the belt-tension adjustment (#11) so you can remove the belt.
