Default 96 Accord overheating

Hi all, this seems to be the place to solid advice. I own a 96 Accord that my oldest kid drives. It started to overheat Sunday night.

I thought perhaps it was the thermostat & replaced that. Still overheating. Added some antifreeze & sure enough the radiator is shot, leaking everywhere. Grab one from pepboys & replace that. They didn't have the correct cap in stock so I picked it up today after work & opened the bleeder valve at the thermostat housing. No air coming out of the valve & the car still overheating.

I'm out of ideas now. Help?

Really should try bleeding the system again.

My way-use caution: Car cool and off. Set the heat to Max Heat. Open bleeder and "SLOWLY" pour in coolant until a steady stream comes out. Close bleeder.

Put cap on loosely - first click ONLY. Start car and let is run for ~20 minutes or until the cooling fans cycle - keep an eye on the temp gauge. Turn car off.

Top off rad - caution as the coolant is hot, the reason for putting the cap on loosely is so that pressure does not build up in system. Top off overflow.

See what you have from here.
