97 accord condenser fan runs after turning off car
I know these cars fans run after turning them off ..this one i can go out on a cold morning start it up immediately turn it off and fan will run till battery dies.car has code p0118 .replaced ect under distributor and both temp switches sending unit seems to be working.hooked up cheappy scan tool checked ect and shows -40 no matter if sensor is plugged in or not..also this car has a hard start on cold mornings.have swapped relays with no change.if i pull the use and put it back in it will shut the fan off.if i gound the white and green wire that goes to the sensor it will trigger the fan to come on.ive swapped multiple fan control units i grabbed from a salvage yard.so im lost now just bought this car so hoping i didnt buy a money pit.also just so wrre clear i pulled the condenser fuse in the underhood fusebox and it shuts off but i pull the cooling fan relay in the underhood fuse box and it shuts off.which fan is which..the fan that continually runs is the one on the passenger side

Before we go too far into which fan is which. Is your 97 accord a 4 cylinder or V6?
Regardless. the fan with the electric motor that is shaped like a hockey puck is called the condenser fan. The fan with the longer motor is called the radiator motor. The 4 cylinder has the condenser fan on the drivers side and radiator fan on the passenger side.
Fortunately, the electrical system on the 94-97 accords are straight-forward, so we can help you work through the troubleshooting and hopefully you aren't dealing with modified wiring, etc.
