97 accord engine miss

Question 97 accord engine miss

hey guys got a problem i cant seem to figure out. i got a 97 accord with an f22b1 motor converted to obd1. car was running good for awhile then all of a sudden started missing randomly. seemed at first that it was worse at start up but now its continuous. sometimes it runs better than other times. seems like its missing on 1 or more cylinders at different times. I've replaced ignitor, plug wires, coil, and checked the spark, grounds and did a compression test from drivers side 160 155 146 160. i have one check engine light 41 for 02 sensor. i unplugged the vacuum to egr and it didnt change anything. also i listened to injectors with a stethoscope and they sound like they are clicking normal even as i rev it up and i have ran injector cleaner through just for good measure.when at idle and cold if i pull the #1 plug wire it doesnt change the miss so im sure its that cylinder but after it warms up it does change. the injectors have voltage. any suggestions would be great thanks.

Figured it out!! took out the injectors to clean my egr passages (which were filthy and clogged) and have the injectors flow tested and found out that one of the injector filters were clogged with what looks like a piece of filter element. had the injectors test and replaced the filter and it runs like new. what a pain in the ***. thanks for the input!

That seems like the last thing I would have considered. Glad you got it fixed.

I was going to suggest that you diagnose the code 41. That is for the heater element in the O2 sensor. Check the resistance on pins 3 and 4 of the O2 sensor before the catalytic converter. It should be within 10-40 ohms. Pins 3/4 are the two that are opposite of the clip on the sensor. The wire colors should be the same if an OEM sensor.

You can also get your codes read at the parts store using your connector behind the ashtray. The OBD2 codes tend to be more specific than the OBD1 code you posted.
