Question 97 Accord gas pedel

I own a 1997 honda accord. This is my first honda and definitely not my last. I have been into honds since I was a kid and im only 17 now. The problem im having is when I give my accord gas you have to push the gas pedal a little before it starts to accurate . I was wondering if all hondas are like that or is it a easy fix? Or is it just nothing at all?

mine is the same on a 01 accord. its like a 1/4 inch of movement before it goes. either you can get used to it or but a piece (not sure what its called right now) that fits between that gap in order for the pedal to no have tht play in it

The slack can be removed from the throttle cable to give you a better response. Search for v=rawvJop772E on YouTube for a good video on how to do this.

I'm guessing this is a V6, a common issue. Not so with the 4cyl.
