I missed were both wires are getting positive voltage. I don't know how that's possible.

yeah i literally dont understand how its even possible unless the wires shorted together but theres no continuity between the two blowing the thought out the door. ill check that ground you mentioned then im also gonna get down to the ecu and test the pins for 5 v ref and ground for the intake air temp sensor

actually that ground you mentioned near the brake fluid reservoir should be the one on the intake i believe which is the one ive already made sure is good

What are the wire colors going to the IAT connector? What are the wire colors going to the IACV connector?

intake air temp wire colors yel/blk, blk/blu. iacv wire colors grn/blu, red/yel
so heres what ive come up with when testing the 5 volt reference for the intake air temp sensor at the ecu it reads normal around 4.8 volt but yet again at the plug for the sensor it reads like 10v so weirdly enough i guess my conclusion is somewhere along the lines its arcing with another power wire giving the wires more voltage then what should be going to the connector so my solution unless somebody else has a better one is the cut isolate and remove existing wires for the intake air temp sensor and run new ones getting the proper 5 volt ref and ground.

I think you have the connectors reversed. IACV should be blk/blu and yel/blk. IAT should be grn/blu and red/yel.

Haha. I'm glad it was a very simple fix and you didn't splice into wires unnecessarily.

For others reading this post in the future: The 94-97 4-cylidner accord, the map/tps, IACV/IAT, or the connector for the resistor block/some other connector nearby are identical connectors that can accidentally get switched.
