My 97 honda accord v6 has a couple of interior accesories problems.When i start the car the front speakers don't work but when I back the key up slightly they come on...also with the car off and the keys in hand,the front speakers make a pulsating sound when the factory stereo is in the ON position.When I turn off the stereo the pulsating goes off.When I turn interior things on like:headlights,dome lite,hazards etc,pop noises come thru the speakers.When I turn stereo **** on and off,the radio lights up for a second then goes off.All of this happens with the car off and the keys in hand...I first noticed all of this when the plug-in night lite that I have in the lighter receptacle remained lit after car was shut off...I've had that night lite for years now and it always went out when the car was shut off...I need some help...this is goofy...

 

Worn igntion switch assy is very likely. It may not clear all problems but is place to start. A simple 1/2 hr labor job and w/i capability of any DIY'r. Search of youtube will reveal some good videos on this subject. Any Accord will do.

Is this the brain (ignition starter switch) that plugs in to the back of the key cylinder assy?

 

Just a rotary switch assy, not the mechanical lock assy.
