Default 97 Accord Knocking Sound

So, for the past few weeks, I've noticed a knocking sound coming from one, or more of my wheels. At first I thought this was the CV joint, which was needing replacement anyway, so I had those done, but the problem continues.

I've also begun to notice that when I hit the breaks hard, I can feel some kind of oscillation, which is consistent with this sound, so I'm assuming this is related to break/rotors. What should I check to confirm what the problem is?

I feel some vibrations in the steering wheel, though I feel it mostly in the brake pedal itself

I had this checked out yesterday and it turns out that my front right rotor is cracked. It looks like it will be about $500 to replace both front rotors and brake pads, does this seem reasonable?
