I have a 97 accord coupe 2d.
Keyless entry alarm automate fcc ezsdei477t
the key i was given unlocks the truck and starts the car however doesnt work for the doors so i have to use the keychain unlock. (im assuming it has different key for door lock cylinders which i didnt get)

when i lock the car the passenger sit locks perfect fine.
Driver side however doesnt and makes a whirring sound or buzzing sound.

I look out actuator and the rubber piece looks fine to me.

I cant lock it manually because the door lock lever was broke on the driver side, also using the automatic door lock on both sides didnt lock it either

plz help.

These are some of the problems that you need to sort out.

1. Your description of the buzzing sound makes it sound like an actuator problem.

2. A faulty keyless entry control unit or an improperly wired unit can cause problems.

3. Is the post that moves up/down on the driver's door the part that is broken?

4. Sounds like some of the locks were replaced.

for 1 and 2, go to the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum. That thread has a link to online shop manuals where you can get the 94 shop manual (almost identical to the 97). You will want to test for power/ground to the lock actuator electrical connector. You probably should test for power/ground on the door switch too based on the manual. You will need a volt meter for this.

for 3. You may need to fix/replace the broken part. A cheap source for a part is the junkyard for these items.

for 4, you can have the dealership cut you a key for pretty cheap (~$10) based on your VIN. Then you will be able to find out what locks are the original on your car. You can have a locksmith change the tumblers so all the locks will use the alarm key.

1. buzzing sound only comes from the actuator area on the driver side not passenger. so maybe it is bad. everything else is fine on the car that I kno of.

2. yea I don't kno where that control unit is for the alarm and im not good enough at ripping through my car to find it.

3. nothing is broken inside the door its all nice newish. besides the broken door lock lever -__-

4. I ordered new door lock cylinders and gunna replace them when I they get her and I will just lock it that way. but I would really love the lock alarm to work too.

im thinking it is the actuator now but I took it out and looked at the rubber piece it looks brand new and fine. is there anything else I should be looking at? on the actuator?

There are two rubber stops inside the actuator, make sure both are okay. Your picture only shows one of the two inside each actuator.

the spring busted threw the plastic under the bottom gear. TIME FOR A NEW ACTUATOR )))
