Default 97 ex power seat

I had problems with my drivers seat not moving forward and backward and discovered that the connecting rod from the motor on the right (while sitting in the seat) to the left side of the seat is missing. Does anyone know where i can find a new connecting rod without having to buy the entire assembly which is over $1k?

94 - 97 95 96 HONDA ACCORD 4DR TAN CLOTH LH DRIVERS POWER FRONT SEAT | eBay

Entire seat w/ free shipping. This saves you over $800 bucks.

Other option would be to look at the part and have a good machine shop fabricate a replacement part.

good luck

I don't know about Hondas, but with Fords, you can frequently change the base of the seat. And, they're often interchangeable across models within a fairly broad range of years. So, if you can live without your power seat, you might be able to change to a manual setup. Where I live, the seat bases are about $40 at the junkyard. Go to a you-pull-it kind of junkyard and have some fun seeing if you can make the interchange. I always learn something when I go there.
