97 honda accord automatic transmission shift problems

Default 97 honda accord automatic transmission shift problems

My 97 Honda accord of lx automatic transmission. Having trouble shifting into 4th gear when getting up passed 60 MPH. At70 its rpm is at 3000rpm.when could the problem be. Checked shift silnoid.good. no code. Its has 110.000 miles on it. Both shift and thottle cables have slack. If I tighten the slack .could that make a diffenerce. Help please. This is work car. All. I do is interstate driving

i have the same problem, ive been too busy to adjust the shift cable.

which solenoid did you check?

one on top of transmission or the one facing the front of the vehicle?

If nothing else, can't promise it will solve the issue, the throttle control cable should be properly adjusted......actually damage can be done if not adjusted properly. Start there and then report back.
