Default 98-02 Headlight Compatibility

I want to buy new headlights for my daughter's '02 Accord. I'm going to buy OEM headlights. All the headlights from 98-02 look the same, but Honda lists a different part number for the 98-00 headlights and the 01-02 headlights. Are they compatible? What are the differences?

They did a little facelift in between there. I didn't realize the lights were different, but I suppose some subtle different shape to fit alongside the newer grill??

From what I understand, they are the same shape and size. I just want to make sure they mount the same, and use the same light/parking light/turn signal setup.

Look at the part numbers from aftermarket producers of bulbs like sylvania. If the numbers are different, then there was some significant change.

I don't think the bulb type would prove much. I had a 1986 Jetta & a 1989 Saab that took the same bulb.

Wait... Tbireman, are you talking about new replacement BULBS? Or new headlamp housings (lens & reflector)?

The actual housings themselves. I know that the 98-00 housings were gray, the 01-02 housings are black.
