Default 98 accord, 2 door, 5 speed instument cluster

i have a 98 accord, 2 door, 5 speed 4 cyl. the instument cluster needs replaced (the temputure gauge is bad). im having trouble finding a direct match replacement. i need to find out if the instrument cluster for an automatic will fit. the automatic has the light up gear selector inbetween the temputure and fuel guage, the space on the 5 speed cluster is blank.

We are having some problems with the site.

You want to be sure that the signal for the temperature gauge is working properly. The signal comes from the temperature sending unit. It is on the engine block and has one wire in the electrical connector.

That sending unit should be on the passenger's side of the engine sort of below the distributor. What happens to the gauge in the car when you unplug that sensor? Make sure that the electrical connector does not touch any metal.
