Default 98 accord D4 Light out and shifting problems

In my cluster D4 lights out and the cars doesn't shift smooth, all the others light up (P, R, N, D3, D2, D1). Sometimes it holds second gear and more longer then switch to the 3rd gear. It doesn't have a smooth gear switching. I really appreciate all your help. Thank You!!

Well you may not like my answer. First, many parts stores will scan for codes for free. Be sure to get the actual code from them (p0740 for example) and not their description of the issue. Cleaning a solenoid or two might solve the problem

Next, the auto trans in the 98-02 do not have a good rep.....they can last a long time with the issues you describe. If you ever have to get the trans rebuilt, be sure the proper upgrades are installed to help prevent the issue from coming back.

How's your transmission fluid? Have you changed it? Was it / Is it dirty? Did you use Honda fluid? Did you have it power-flushed or just drain & fill?

My transmission was rebuild a year ago. After that I found a a pressure sensor broke and I replace it but still doing the same thing.
