Default 98 Accord- instrument panel lights and tail lights NOT WORKING

I have a 98 Honda Accord LX. The panel lights do not light up at night after turning the headlights on. I removed the component and replaced ALL the bulbs and still nothing. I bought new fuses and installed them correctly (lol) and the instrument panel still will not light up.

secondly, the tail lights do not come on even after I replaced ALL the bulbs back there. the break lights work fine. not sure what to do next. i checked the connections and they seem fine.

I think that you are going to need a volt meter and a shop manual. I got a shop manual for my TSX from automanualsource.com for $22 and it has all that information about wire colors, etc...

Then you will have to start at a convenient place for electrical testing. I would start at the tail light bulbs that are not working to see if you are missing voltage on the + wire or ground. Then you will have to work backwards to figure out where the circuit is failing.

For the cluster lights, when you get to those, I'd start with the dash dimmer.

Default ditto

I have the same problem except my tailights work, to fix the tailights i think mine was a fuse on the passenger side, be sure to check fuses with a test light, sometimes the fuse will be blown but still look ok.
