This is for my moms 98 Lx. The SRS light came on and I thought it may have been when the mechanic swapped her ignition switch out since typically you disable the SRS when working around that area.

I checked the fuse and it was fine. Her mechanic said that there is a sensor under the seat that often fails.

How do I pinpoint the problem? And how do I do this without setting off the airbags?

Not much tinkering, I just wanna take a look to see how extensive the problem is. Do the 6th gens have problems with the SRS often?

 

There is a way of jumping the DLC to get the srs codes.....TX posted is somewhere in the last day or two.

 

Ok. So SRS has its own codes as well? I thought it was just a light but didn't specify what exactly. I will check his posts.
