99 Accord Auto Trans shifting problem

HI I am new to the forum. My daughters 99 Accord EX with the 4 cyl engine has developed a shifting issue. It started about 3 weeks ago with a hard 1-2 shift in the morning. Now it will not downshift into first when you stop until you lift your foot off the brake. The car has 150,000 miles and the transmission was flushed at 80,000 and drained and refilled a couple of times since then. We took it to a shop who performed a flush, which did not help, and said that it might be sticking valves in the valve body. They suggested taking it to a transmission shop for further diagnosis. She is now considering selling the car and getting a new one. Are there any additives that will help this condition? Does it sound like the transmission is about to go south? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I sent you an e-mail but I wanted to post this here as well. There is/was a suit about this and a great thread in general for tranny repairs, try the lucas oil fix that may help ....
