Default 99 Accord Overheating

Please forgive me I need to figure out why my car keeps overheating. I checked the thermostat and there isn't one. All my fluids were up to acceptable level. What else could I check to fix this. I was driving to work this morning and all of a sudden noticed that my temperature was above the H! I turned off the air conditioner and put on heat but I guess my heat doesn't work. lol. I let it sit for about 4.5 hours and then drove it to my dads house which is about 8 mins away. It started with the gauge under the C then started moving up slightly maybe like a quarter of the way up then started fluctuating back down a bit. Im so confused as to what its doing. lol sorry if I sound so dumb lol forgive me I'm trying to learn.

Thanks guys!

Is your 99 Accord a 4-cyl or a V-6 engine?
How did you check the thermostat & find out there isn't one??

Has it been doing this for long?

Have you checked coolant level in the actual radiator? Or in the overflow bottle?
Is there gunk in the coolant?

I have a 4- Cyl
I watched the Youtube video on how to check the thermostat and pulled it off and there wasn't one.
It only started doing it this morning.

No gunk in the coolant I dumped all the coolant out when checking the thermostat. Its still that greenish yellow color.
How would I check the coolant level? I don't touch anything until I let the car sit after running.

There are two cooling fans attached to the radiator.

Start the car and turn on the A/C, does both fans run?

Ill check that as soon as I can I left the car at my dads. I am also told I should try burping the radiator too.

Yes, when you checked the thermostat you spilled out some coolant so you have to replace that. But first you should get a thermostat & install it.

Turn the key ON and turn the temperature dial to HOT in order to open the heater valve.
Open the radiator cap (when the engine is cool).
Fill it up (either pre-mixed, or 50/50 antifreeze/water)
There's a small bleed-valve at the thermostat - open that to let air out.
I usually squeeze the radiator hoses to push air bubbles over to the radiator & out.
Fill the overflow bottle somewhere between the 2 marks.

Leave the radiator cap off when you start the engine because a few more air bubbles will collect at the radiator cap. Have some more coolant ready to keep it full. Then put the cap on before the radiator gets real hot.

Both fans work.

Thermostat was replaced

Even replaced the cooling sensor

When I hit the dash it goes from past hot to a normal temp. It seems to fluctuate a bit. I might need to find a new cluster. I'm so irritated with this issue -_-

I'm going to have someone bleed/burp the system tomorrow

Should I just try and get a new cluster? It still seems to read a little hotter than normal even with everything switched out. But the temp gauge flies all over the place when I drive sometimes it will go in place and be at a normal temperature. I just worry that I wont know if I am really running my car and it could be too hot
