Default 99 Accord sloppy shifter??

Hi all, I did a search, but didn't find anything similar to my issue.
I've got both a 97 and a 99 Accord. Both have 5 speed transmissions, and the 99 feels like it's sloppy, in that it's not as tight feeling as the 97. What I mean by this,is that the shift gates feel really large with lots of throw between each gear, while the 97 feels tight, almost like it has a "short shift kit" in it. Is there anyway to close up/tighten up the loose feeling (shorten the spaces up) on the 99? The shifts feel silky smooth though, and there's no grinding or anything like that going on (it actually feels smoother than my 97), just the throws between the gears seem very long.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Going off the top of my head, I seem to remember there are bushings in the shifter body that might be worn. Pretty sure these can be had from the dealer.....or there are "replacement shifters" for these as well.

Ok, Thanks. I guess I have more investigating to do. I'll pop off the console cover and have a look in there when I change out the cup holder set up (got 1 on order due to a broke off tab for the lid).
