Default 99 accord transmission slip:Moved To Correct Forum

I'm the new guy, just finding this site today, please excuse my ignorance and transgressions.
My 99 accord, automatic transmission, V6, with 212K miles runs great, but recently the transmission slips. I have totally flushed the oil by dropping the old oil and adding 3 new quarts four times.
Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it will work if I start in Low, but will not upshift manually or automatically. After stopping for a traffic light it may not go. (I have been receiving one finger salutes for this.) It seeme to work better if the oil is hot.
Is there something I can do without spending more than the car is worth? Or, am I finished and have to limp to the junk yard? Many thanks!!

If the D4 light starts flashing, or it stays on when you shift to park, you can get the codes read from a parts store like autozone. Post the code number on here, like P1234. The descriptions can be vague.

The 98-02 V6 accords were known to have automatic transmission problems, so your transmission may be on its way out.

Did you use the Honda automatic transmission fluid? Was there a lot of metal shavings in the fluid you drained out?

Get the codes scanned just to be sure that the problem is not with a sensor or something simple.
