Hi everyone.
I bought a 99 Accord EX 6cyl at auction for a temporary driver while my other car was in the shop. I love the car and had so much fun looking at aftermarket parts and doing some exhaust/intake work I decided to make it a project car (haven't had one since I was a teenager and I can actually afford parts now.)

The engine purrs like a kitten with 199000 miles on it but the transmission slips and I expect it will go out within the next 10K miles or so. I'm looking for something beefier and more responsive than the stock automatic transmission. I doubt I will ever be installing a turbo and don't want anything too extreme.
Any suggestions?

 

Not much you can do. But some people have swapped it for the 6-speed manual from an Acura CL-S or something like that.
