99Accord 4cyl intermittment stalling

Default 99Accord 4cyl intermittment stalling
My friends mom has a 99 Accord 2.3L VTEC (automatic). It stalls when you turn it on sometimes, but when it turns on it doesnt turn off. I know the older Hondas had problems with the main relay, does this gen have that problem too or is this a completely different problem?

Will her car start right up after it stalls, or will it not want to start after a stall?

That makes figuring out the problem a bit more difficult. Can she get the car to stall by shaking the key when the engine is started?
