99EX Door Lock
The passenger side door lock on my 99 EX Coupe is no longer working via remote or the switch inside the car. When I hit the lock switch I can hear a delayed click from the passanger side, and if I wait a while the lock will work, then it will work less, then it will not work at all. I picked up a new actuator and plan to install that this weekend hoping that that is the problem. I have seen similiar problems on this forum and some fairly detailed instructions on how to replace it. Can anyone confirm that I have made the right diagnosis with this list of symptoms:
Lock will work with less power than driver's side, then will stop working
Click coming from the front of the door, delayed after I hit the lock switch

RE: 99EX Door Lock
sounds accurate to me, you've eliminated the switch and the lock still works, you seem to have confirmed power so I'd guess it's the acuator, just make sure that the lock it self isn't sticky and causing to much resistance on the acuator, if you can manually lock/un-lock it with ease then I'd say you're right on with the acuator replacement, door panel removal is fairly easy, the average holdup/issue comes from the door handle itself, make sure after removing the screws from the door handle/door lock area that you slide the whole assembly forward a bit and then it will pop out, next remove/disconnect the rod going to the door handle so you can pull the panel off and you shouldn't have to many issues from there, there are some fairly detailed write ups that it appears you've already found so if you follow those you should be fine, questions go here!
