Default ABS and TCS lights came on last night...

Hey Gang,

I Drove to work yesterday with no issues or stray idiot lights; got in the car last night to drive home and the instant I started the car the ABS and TCS lights came on and stayed on. Annoying.

Is this a common issue for 2001 V6 Accords? Is the answer typically an ABS wheel speed sensor, or is it more like a pricey control unit?

Thanks in advance for the help.

a simple place to start with is check the R/C mirror fuse in the underdash fuse panel (7.5amp) if it's blown, replace it.

Not absolutely sure, but suspect ABS codes can be extracted manually same way as earlier models; shorting service check connector and watching codes. On earlier models, ABS codes are all short flashes w/ a pause between 1st and 2nd digit; 4-4 = ffff-p-ffff.

If you don't have a service check connector, you may need to short pins on obd2 connector (4-9). See folllowing link:

good luck
