The fan blower is working on my 2000 honda accord, but the ac button and defrost buttons will not come. Also the inside and outside air flow button will not work. everything worked fine one morning and that afternoon would not work. Where do i start to find problem. It is a 2000 honda accord se, 4-cylinder automatic

 

Check fuses in under-dash fuse/relay box. In 94 Accord manual it was fuse no 8 (7.5A). If this doesn't work, you'll need to pull the heater control panel to investigate connectors and wiring. You will need a shop manual to guide you.

I would start by checking fuses. There are three fuse boxes on your car. Driver's and passenger's side inside the car, and one in the engine bay.

If the fuses check out, then you will probably have to do some testing with the volt meter. You would probably also need to get a 98-02 shop manual to figure out the wire colors. I found my TSX manual on Ebay for $22 from automanualsource. It is worth the investment if you plan on DIY work.

 

I recently bought a '99 accord and had this exact problem. The climate control was bad, I bought one off ebay for $50 plus shipping, and it fixed it. Just my $.02
