Default AC and Check Engine

I have a Honda Accord 2000, and recently changed the timing belt, water pump, the spark plugs, and wires. Right after that, I noticed that the AC leaks more and by turning the AC on, the Check Engine light comes on and the car stalls time to time specially on the ramps. The error code that the computer shows is P1381. Should I trust the code and change the distributor? or there is problem with the new parts?

Thank you so much for your comments in advance.

Is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?

It can also be due to faulty diodes in the alternator. See these linked threads.
