I have a 1996 Accord LX 4cyl sedan, car started running hot found the inlet heater hose had sprung a leak, my question is does the AC Condenser fan run even though the AC is not on or has not been turned on?

When the car is running, and the fan switch tells the fans to run, that will make BOTH fans run together. Even without the AC. Calling one fan the "radiator" fan & the other the "condenser" fan is just a bit of historical tradition.

If the engine is hot enough for the fan to run after turning off the engine, THEN I think only one is supposed to run.
