AC and gas mileage
My 2007 Accord is a 5 speed with the 4 cylinder engine. Typically I have been getting between 32 to 34 mpg with normal driving. Since we have been hit with this heat wave the past few weeks I noticed my mpg decline to anywhere from 29 to 31 mpg. I'm assuming running the AC puts a little more strain on the engine making it work a little harder. Am I correct in that assumption and has that been others' experiences?
Thanks,
Scott

Yeah, & it's especially so every time you start the car from sitting in the sun with the interior very hot.
AC sucks down your MPG more strongly in city/mixed driving. Not so bad on 800-mile highway cruises where you never stop.
