Default AC/Heat in 2003 Honda Accord EX don’t seem to turn off

Even after my AC and/or heat is turned off I still feel cold and hot air coming through the vents while I drive. If the **** is on the warm setting, the car still blows hot air even though the heater is supposed to be off. Same thing happens when the **** is set to the cool setting.

The only light that is on on my HVAC is the recirculating light. Nothing else. I can’t seem to figure out how to completely turn off the AC/Heat… or even the recirculation for that matter! One light is always on on the HVAC, and regardless of how much I try, I can’t turn all of them off, leading me to believe that the reason there is always air blowing through my vents is because the AC/Heat is never completely off.

How do I fix this?

When you turn off the heat, do you shut off the blower, so it is not pushing air through the vents?

If the recirculation button is on, then there should be no air coming in from the outside vents. Try hitting the recirculation button, then see if the flap moves?

You can also read HVAC codes. The common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum has a write-up on how to get codes for your car. Post any hvac codes on here to help narrow down any issues.
