AC Issue
I bought my 97 accord a couple of months ago and I am having problems with the AC not being cold. When I bought the car they charged it full wit freon, and till now, it has been cool, but definately not anywhere near cold. I rather open the windows sometimes than use the AC and waste some gas. Any ideas on how to fix this ac?

RE: AC Issue
AC repair, if you want to DIY, requires a bit of education. I would suggest purchasing a Haynes Auto AC repair manual, and read a lot of posts on ackits.com forum on diy repairs.
If you just want some guidance on likley problem and solutions. You have a leak in AC system. Prime candidates are all connections, compressor shaft seal (look for oil/dirt ring around clutch rotation plane), condensor defect, or possibly evaporator leak. Leak detection/location requires special equipment from a good AC shop. Fix leak, vacuum system, and recharge and you should be good to go. Expect to pay $300- $1000 depending on number of leaks, location of leaks, etc.
good luck
