Accord 2007 Can't open the doors with remote car key/Engine does NOT start. HELP
Hi. My car is Honda Accord 2007 Coupe, (about 30,000 miles, bought new)
and it's been about 3 years since I bought a brand new car.
Today, my car is not responding to my remote car key, when I never had a single problem until yesterday.
I have a spare remote car key, and I also tried it to open the doors, but my car never responds. (however, I see a small red light that is on the car key when I push the button - so no problem with my car key?)
So I merely thought that it's my car keys' problem (both the spare and the original one), and opened the door manually (without using a remote key),
but engine also does not start.
It even does not make any clicking noise - it's just dead.
I am in a panic, but before I go to the autoshop and pay more than it should be, I visited here to see if anyone had similar experience and have some solutions.
Can it be a battery problem?
Although I know NOTHING about the car, if someone can give me instruction to check or solve a problem (if simple) it would be very helpful.
Thank you so much. Welcome any advices.

It might be a dead battery. Measure battery voltage, especially if you can measure it while someone tries to start it. It should be 12v and it would drop some (maybe 10v) when starting. If it drops a lot like maybe 6v, then it's bad.
3-years is a little short for a battery, but it's not unheard-of.
