Accord diesel cuts off after 3500 rpm help please
Hi everyone happy to find the forum.
I have recently bought an Accord and am I need of a bit of help!
The car is amazing, Accord 2.2 diesel Exec drives fine but in 3rd gear if I accelerate over 3500 rpm the car starts to shake real bad and if I accelerate harder the engine dies completely and will only start after 10 min of continuously trying to start the engine.
The odd thing is it only does this in the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear, on the 1st and 2nd I can go all the way to 4.00 rpm.
I tried a diesel treatment solution and good diesel but finished the whole tank and I still have the problem. I would like to add that I only accelerate when the engine is warm enough!
Also another odd thing is that the DVD unit is displaying DVD is reading an error and I won't let me insert a DVD and I when pressing eject nothing comes out. Could there be a DVD inside that's broken ?
Any ideas on what might be wrong are welcome

What year is this accord? The more information, the better.
The DVD unit likely failed.
I don't think there are any diesel accords in the US. It is odd that the engine stalls in certain gears. Check for engine/transmission codes. Don't know if you have the OBD2 like in the US.
