Tyler, you saw that you go more crud out of the transmission, so the additional fluid wasn't really wasteful.

I have read about changing from dirty/old fluid to clean fluid could cause the transmission to fail. I don't know if I believe that the new fluid would cause the failure. I would guess that the lack of maintenance in the first place on the transmission probably caused the problem, when something like this happens.

If the transmission would fail early, check car-part.com for used transmissions from junkyards. You could sort by price or by distance from your town to price used automatic transmission that would work in your car, since you may not have the money for the at to mt swap.

 

all very good info fellas! i enjoy just reading other peoples issues on there cars ill answer some but i read just 4 the experience an knowledge u all have with ur hondas!i just bought my 1st.honda 93 accord LX 2.2 4door it needs work but runs like a champ!its a quick lil mo fo!the best part is fixing her up!one day it will be my sons car and by then with help from above she will look prettier than the day she was made?keep up with the great info fellas cuz its people like myself who looks 4ward on logging in here to just see what problems people have an the solutions u all come up with!thanks 1nc again.
