As best I can tell it doesn't really matter which set up is used. As long as it is a true return style the issue should be resolved. I have had 1 come back for this problem. I updated the fpr (which I should have done to begin with) and he has been all good since. I'm amazed you got all of that for $15

Well, it was actaully $15.49 at my local pic a part! With all of the injectors, it would have been $55. With our 1999 Accord V6 and with our 2003 Odyssey, we have never seen this problem. I am an Engineer and I can tell you that Honda did this to save few cents to get rid of the transfer fuel line!

My 2000 LX V6 is still going strong with 175,000 miles & I drive 3,000 miles a month on original tranny. I change my oil every 10,000 with Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic, use Royal Purple Oil Filter, Redline Synthetic ATF with Earls racing ATF cooler.

I updated the fpr (which I should have done to begin with)
What did you update the fpr with?

Thanks

Waid

The solution for the heat soak issue is a lot simpler than that. Honda's fix is replacing the fuel pressure regulator and PCM. (http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/ac..._heat_soak.pdf) which is bs because the PCM costs a lot and the fuel pressure regulator is the same thing.
It will only fix it for a few months. I talked to several other honda technicians about it and they said they just replace the fuel pressure regulator with a year 2002 v6 accord one, and it always solved the problem.
I've had the same issue with my 2000 accord v6. I've replaced my fuel pressure regulator with a 2002 v6 one from the dealer, cost about $100 new, and never had a problem since. Or you can get a junk yard one but make sure its a 2001-2002 accord your pulling off of. Easy to replace it too. Shows you how to do it in the TSB stated above.

Or you can unplug the vacuum hose that is on the fuel pressure regulator and it will bump up your fuel pressure. That was the first thing I did. You can also try it, next time you try to start it when it's hot, just pull the vacuum hose on the pressure regulator and I bet you it will start and not stumble. But, I don't know if leaving the vacuum hose disconnect will damage anything or not. So I don't recommend leaving it off all the time, just unplug it to start it and let it run for a few minutes then plug it back in.

update it with the 02 accord fpr like Georgio056 mentioned. However no one (including myself) that I know of has ever been able to just swap fpr's and fix the issue. I'm not saying that it wont work. All I'm saying is that I think the area you live in has some bearing on if you can get away with just an fpr swap. I know most of the hot soak cars I have fixed already have an updated fpr and a new pcm.

The weather in Indiana is cold now but I did manage is get a fuel pressure regular out of a 2003 Accord & 2003 Odyssey for $10 !!!

I know when the weater starts to warm up I will have starting problem again!

By the way jester, when the weather was little warmer few weeks ago, I had hard start. When I pulled the vac hose from the regulator, it did help to start quicker!

2000accord v6 hot soak (220+ miles). Hello to all . I tried a autozone (2000-2002) fpr to fix my hot soak with no luck, they have 2 different fpr I wonder if I got the wrong one I returned it since it did not fix the problem. Egn is also stumbling occasionally and noticed that if I change the trans position from drive to parkin it helps stayblise. Also have a bad exsaust smell like an old leaded cars. So far I've done the plugs, egr valve, fuel filter, a couple of plug boots, fuel injector add, up graded from 87 to 91 with no improvement at all. Would you recommend I try a fpr from the dealler (a 02 for my 00). I'm considering doing the fuel rails next. I'm not a pro just a do it your self guy or should I a pay a pro to get fuel rails done, still not sure of all the parts I need to replace them if I do,do the fuel rails .........please help I'm in riverside California (eastvale) if any one near and can help I will come to you!
