Default Alternator question

Hey guys I am in the process of changing my 99 Accord f23a1 alternator. I am wondering what other cars come with the 12550 alternator? I've searched for a while now and nothing. Please let me know I would help me very much. So far only the 98-02 would fit which is the same generation. Also the acura cl that has the same motor also would work. But any other cars that you guys are knowledgeable with would help. Thanks

Looking at one Honda alternator part number for your 6th generation Accord shows Honda 31100-PAA-A01.

Breaking down the Honda part number shows:
  1. 31100 is related to alternator. (Honda may use this first set of numbers to refer to alternator for other models and/or years.)
  2. "PAA” appears to be specifically applicable to Honda Accord 98-02 4 cylinder (Since the Acura CL essentially is a Honda Accord chassis, this is also applicable.) If this part was compatible with other Honda models, then the alphanumeric characters would not be PAA (specific to the Honda Accord 98-02 4 cylinder).
  3. The last alphanumeric characters (for example, the A01) are manufacturer codes. For your generation Accord, there are different alternators depending on trim levels, etc. and the last digits may be different.

Since the “PAA” is related to Honda Accord 98-02, it does not appear the 98-02 Accord alternator is made for other Honda makes or years (other than the Acura CL, which is essentially an Accord). On the flip side of the coin, it is unlikely any other Honda alternator from a different model or year (e.g., Civic, etc.) will fit the 98-02 Accord 4 cylinder.
