Any tricks for replacing alternator on 98 v6? Does it come out thru the top or bottom?
Any steps or sequence that make the removal or replacement easier?
Suggestions for rebuilds or replacement brands.

 

remove shroud from rad
remove any wiring in the way
remove fans

alt come out the top

I heard that you can replace it with one from a TL or CL or new 03+ accord = all are denso and way better than Delphi pos.....when I had my accord it crapped out at 98K I was pissed since my other honda never had to change any big parts........

I hadn't given much thought to having to remove the fan.
They don't make it easy ..do they.
