Always change wheel bearing in pairs?
I changed one of my front wheel bearings and that tookcare of all the rumbling noise while driving.
I read that the wheel bearings should be changed in pairs. Is that true and why?

RE: Always change wheel bearing in pairs?
Yes, because they're both exactly the same age and the same mileage.
No, because there really isn't a lot of duplicated work. IOW, you don't waste duplicated labor time or labor $$ taking the same thing apart next month when the other one wears out. Or next year. Or 3 years...
Personally, I go along with the NO philosophy. When one goes bad, I simply get emotionally (& financially) prepared to replace the other one 'soon'.
