Default another oddity

ok just got off the phone with a freind of mine. he drives a 95 civic ex non vtec. he was telling me that he substituted a quart of Honda ATF with a quart of Honda MTF, he said it was shifting 200% better. my question is: should I smack him int he back of the head and call him an idiot, or did he have a good idea?

He put manual trans fluid in an auto trans, is that what I got out of that? I dont know that it was a good idea.

Side note, I thought all Civic EX were VTEC? No?

[X(]Dont just smack him, beat him![X(]Makesure hes a AAA member because hes gonna need a tow as soon as that fluid gets into the valve body!

you better tell your buddy to drain all the fluid and use ONLY Honda ATF -Z1 ..he might have to do it 2-3 times .... .He will have shifting issues
you can use ATF in a manual tranny but not the other way around

That was actually me that asked about the VTEC lol. I wasnt doubting you, I was just stating that I thought all EXs were VTEC, but that may be my mistake. However, just because it doesnt have decals doesnt mean it doesnt have it.
