Default Anti lock brake light

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. I have a 91 Honda Accord Se, 4 door sedan. I love my car, i just put a 20,000 mile engine f22a6 in it I ordered from japan. For the last 6mths my anti-lock light is on, I had it checked, and computer states it is abs pump. Is there any way I can by pass this? Or should I just order me one? I have found 2 in 6mths. My car is 4 wheel disk brake so I guess thats a little rare? Any suggestions?I really never liked anti-lock brakes....I just dont know.... Thanks...

Once the abs light is turned on, the system is disabled.

If you want to fix it, short that service connector and report the code that abs light flashes.

does it need the pump for sure ?? did a shop that specializes on Hondas check it out ?? or did they just read the code and it was in the pump system??? checked wiring ??

if it needs a pump ,i do not know of any other ways but to replace it ,( if you must have ABS ) and at the age of the car could be an issue finding one ..

I think 4-1 means right-front wheel sensor.
Not sure my list is correct for 91, it's for 94 or so.

Efster, please don't hijack another member's thread. Is it necessary to bump the thread after 6 minutes?

Black rubbery thing is the boot for the CV joint. When that rips open, dirt gets in & ruins the CV joint.

Maybe crud got over & messed up the ABS wheel sensor??

Thanks everyone, I have checked all wiring, abs light comes after a long time in driveway warming up, or go down road and it comes on after .5 mile. I just bought a pump on ebay for 60.00... I figure for that much I will try to change it and see what happens... As soon as I get it on I will let all know...Thanks again...
