Default auto trans fluid ATF-Z1 or Dexron III?

Hello honda gurus...plain jane 06 accord 2.4 liter auto transmission here...the manual says use only the Z1 fluid in the trans. but I am asking if I can permanently use the Dexron III instead? It also says the Dexron III can be used "temporarily" but should be flushed out due to it affecting shift quality. What gives?Thank you.

Generally speaking you should only use the ATF-z1, preferably the honda ATF, however, a few people have used a dexron III based lube and like it better... Basically, use only ATF-Z1 (Honda) unless you are having some shift issues then I'd try a Dexron III based lube, I want to say someone is running lucas....

I believe the manual says only use Dextron in an emergency and replace ASAP. I would stick with Honda fluid.
