hi everyone, i was in this forum previously, my accord shift hard and erratic on accelerating from gear 1 to 2. While rpm jumps to 4000, i have changed the transmission fluid but the shift is still erratic and hard. The scanned results shows: (DTC) 7002 A/T SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. I want to know if the transmission itself is bad or the various sensors that work with it is the problem. I love this car so much i don't want to sell it. Please help with your response i will appreciate. Accord 98, 4cyl, auto trans. Mileage 207000

 

Sounding like a trans rebuild.....sorry but the auto trans in the 98-02 Accord's, well wasn't very good.

If you get it rebuilt, be sure the shop puts in the "upgrades" to prevent futher issues.
