Unhappy average fuel consumption

For almost a month i owned this car, I calculated the fuel consumption for the first 3 full tanks of gas. 50/50 city hway driving

1st: 430km/ 50 liters
2nd: 451km/ 53 liters
3rd: 434km/ 50 liters

I already manage to change the oil, filter, ATF, PSF, coolant, and set of plugs (NGK). so far I could say everything were good, base on what it looks and sound.

Now I need to know if my Fuel consumption normal? its a lil bit higher for me actually.

In different computation:

8.5 km/liters
11.7 liters/100km
20.2 mpg (if my calculation is correct?)

I get about 27-28 mpg w/ my 94 EX on a mix of city/highway probably somewhat more highway than 50/50.

27.5 mpg = 8.55 liters/100km = 11.7 km/liter.

I think your MPG calc must be off as my SI units values match yours, except for MPG. I used Digitial Dutch Unit Converter (http://www.digitaldutch.com/unitconv...onsumption.htm)

good luck

the 20mpg is about right...that’s what the h22 ludes get also...your f20 engine is a destroked h22.

Texas...you have a f22 engine that's why you get good MPG..the OP has a performance honda engine they don’t get as good gas mileage as the economy f22a/f22b engines

There's also imperial gallons vs. USA gallons (about 20% difference). Where's Darkgreen located?

If you'll slow down to 60 mph, increase air pressure to 32 psi, and avoid jackrabbit starts/stops you should get 10% increase easily.

I'm not commenting on your driving habits. I was able to do go from 25 mpg avg to 27-28 w/ slowing down and added air pressure.

good luck
