i have a 03 accord with a 2.4l. if i take the battery out will the radio still work. someonetold me if i do that, that the radio will throw a code and wont work. if this is true, my diplay went black and icant see nothing on it. (im still fighting with my local dealer on that one[sm=icon_flaming.gif].)i want to put a optima battery in it. thanks

 

I don't know about the newer models but my '94 has a 4 digit code you need to input after disconnecting the battery. Mine was written in the owner's manual. I would think the dealer could recover the code for you if needed.

 

you have to input a code to get it to work. code you can get from the dealer...how to input is in your owners manual...or search on here...i dont know it offhand.
