Battery,brake lights came on
#2
Cant be completely sure with out running my own personal diagnostics but it could be possible, i have a 96 ex and when i had an issue with my alternator going bad i found that my battery and brake light came on in the dash and also with mine my tach stopped working. Seems that that a bad alternator will cause several strange symptoms with the older accords. If you have a volt meter or multimeter you can perform a voltage output test on the alt by connecting the positive lead to the alt and the negative to the negative of the battery and that will tell you the voltage output of the alt which should be somewhere near 14 volts.

yup, more than likely. abnormal voltage situations can cause all kinds of havoc on the dash lights and other circuits.

I know this is an old thread but recently my 2001 accord ex 5 speed starting showing the battery, brake and all doors lights. i went to auto zone and o reillys and had the alternator/ battery checked. everything was fine checked by both places.. i then bought a new battery because mine was 7 years old and starting to bulge on the side. still had the lights on. the lights come and go here and there.. i then tightened my alternator belt and test drove it.. lights went away. hopefully it stays off! hopes this helps!
