Default battery, doors, and brake lights flashing on dash

I recently replaced a battery, and then the alternator in my 98 accord 3.0 V6. The brake light, the battery light, and the light for all doors and the trunk light came on. they were on before i changed the alternator constantly now they just flash here and there for no reason. The battery is at 12.6 normal, and up over 13.5 when idiling. Any ideas?

  1. Check the belt tension, see attached pic. If pointer is beyond the edge of the indicator, belt may need to be changed. Also, looked at the condition of the belt.
  2. Even if belt tension is okay, with the car running, look at the pointer, does it move around a lot? If it does, the tensioner may need to be replaced.
