Default battery or something else

Last night was seating on a traffic jam and front of me is a large SUV so i got to see my head light closely, then i notice every time the AC kick my head light blink a bit, is this battery related or something else. I checked my battery morning after that night reading is 12.31v, 60-70% bat life I suppose. With engine running 14.4v.

It sounds normal. The charging system is working fine.

You have the dreaded headlight flickering that Honda, in thier infinite wisdom, designed into the car.

Just search on this forum under the words "Headlight flicker" or "headlight dimming".

Three people in Georgia forced Honda to buy back their vehicles because of this design flaw.

i have purchase a new battery, after getting home i checked it with my voltmeter, it was 12.5 (engine off for about 10 mins) but with engine running its read only 14.09 with load (AC & headlight on) 14.06 then go back to 14.09 - 14.10.
my concerned is my old bat is getting 14.4 when engine is running which i think is right.
new bat has same spec and size with the old one, 55D23L. im running the new bat for about 2 days now.
should i check the alternator? or this is normal.
i dont want to be stranded out there.
please advice. Thanks!

The alternator can regulate the voltage needed to charge the battery.

Is the flickering of the headlights gone now?
